This is an "outside" tour, with a concentration on the religious
center of Florence with Cathedral, Baptistery, and Belltower and the
governmental center with Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and
Piazzale degli Uffizi. Depending on personal interests Piazza della
Repubblica, Palazzo Strozzi, Dante's neighborhood or Ponte Vecchio.
(we can add a visit to the Accademia musuem at the end of the tour with a focus on Michelangelo's masterpiece David - which makes the tour about 3 - 4 hours, advanced reservations recommended).

In Santa Maria Novella discover the frescoes in the main Tornabuoni chapel by Domenico Ghirlandaio. Stroll down the famous Via Tornabuoni with its monumental 15th century homes such as Palazzo Strozzi, Palazzo Antinori and Palazzo Bartolini-Salimbeni. Visit the church of Santa Trinità with Sassetti chapel also frescoed by this master.
